Catherine, Princess of Wales, to Attend Wimbledon Men's Final, Will Miss Women's Final

Catherine, Princess of Wales, will attend the Wimbledon men's final on Sunday, July 14, in her role as patron of the All England Club but will miss Saturday's women's final.

Kensington Palace has announced that Kate Middleton will see Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic play. About the women's final between Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova, the All England Club released a statement saying, "At the request of Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, Patron of The All England Lawn Tennis Club, the trophies will be presented on court by Deborah Jevans CBE, Chair of The All England Lawn Tennis Club." The statement was made in relation to the Trooping the Colour parade in London on June 15.

Since 2019, when she attended her first ceremony as patron and gave Novak Djokovic his trophy after he beat Roger Federer in the final, Catherine has been the one to give the winners' trophies on Centre Court.

The Royal Family of Great Britain has a long history with Wimbledon; every year, different individuals can be seen in the Royal Box on Centre Court.

The Honorary President of the Lawn Tennis Association, the Duchess of Gloucester, and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were present on Day 12 of this year's competition.
